' Sequoia Grove - 2010 Cambium 1.5L

2010 Cambium 1.5L

The 2010 Cambium offers complex aromas of chocolate and mocha layered with spice. Flavors of blackberry and notes of blueberry intertwine with hints of vanilla. There is a dusty, mineral note mixed with dried strawberry in the background. On the palate, the wine has a beautiful long arc of flavor, starting with mocha and vanilla and ending with lovely, fine tannins.

Description

HARVEST & WINEMAKING

Each component of Cambium is individually selected every vintage, and only the very best of hundreds of lots make the final cut. This 2010 Cambium includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from Stagecoach Vineyard in the Atlas Peak AVA; Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from our Tonella Vineyard in Rutherford; and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Morisoli Vineyard, also in Rutherford.

All of the fruit was picked by hand, then sorted twice, first by cluster, then berry by berry. After a two-day cold soak, the individual lots were inoculated with an assortment of French yeast strains. The wine aged for 22 months in French oak before bottling, then aged almost two years in our cellar before release in May 2014.
